John 16:13-14 - 13 But when he, the Spirit of
truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on
his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is
yet to come. 14 He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.
Galatians 5:22-23 - 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Luke 24:49 - 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.
1 Corinthians 10:13 - 13 No temptation has seized
you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let
you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he
will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
Hebrews 12:2-3 - 2 Let us fix our eyes on
Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set
before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the
right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
Hebrews 12:7-11 - 7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9 Moreover,
we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them
for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and
live! 10 Our fathers
disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God
disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11 No
discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however,
it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have
been trained by it.
